Everyone dreams of getting married in Paradise. This wish can easily come true when planning your destination wedding in Italy.
If this is your dream, start with these 12 simple steps to plan your fairytale Italian Destination Wedding at least 12 months before "I do", or as soon as possible.
12 MONTHS +
Decide your budget and perfect date/month of the year
Make sure the Wedding Planner you are choosing is available for that date, speaks your language and Italian, and tell her/him about your dreams (if you are considering this aspect)
Select which Italian Region or city best represents your ideal Fairytale
Decide if you envision your wedding reception in a country house, villa, castle, garden or in a hotel
Decide if you are dreaming of a religious, civil or symbolic wedding in Italy
Determine the size of your wedding (compile guest list)
Make sure the Italian wedding venue you chose is capacious for your wedding's size and that is available for that date. If so, BOOK IT!
If you really love that venue, but it is already booked for that date, be flexible and try to see if another date works with your schedule or ask your Wedding Planner to offer you a valiant alternative
Make sure that the ceremony site you like and the officiant are available for that date and book them
Make sure the officiant speaks your language before choosing the ceremony site and, if he doesn't, ask him if he can be assisted by another officiant or if the ceremony can be celebrated by another officiant
Book your flights to Italy as soon as they are available (usually 8 months prior to the departure)
Start collecting all the information you need to get your paperwork ready for your destination wedding.
